Neuzugänge der Woche

Khaled Hosseini - Traumsammler
[U4-Text] Was kann Geschwister trennen?

[U4-Text] Enter a world inhabited by the Others, unearthly entities - vampires and shape-shifters among them - who rule the earth and whose prey are humans.
As a cassandra sangue, or blood prophet, Meg Corbyn can see the future when her skin is cut - a gift that feels more like a curse. Meg's Controller keeps her enslaved so he can have full access to her visions. But when she escapes, the only safe place Meg can hide is at the Lakeside Courtyard - a business district operated by the Others.
Shape-shifter Simon Wolfgard is reluctant to hire the stranger who inquires about the Human Liaison job. First, he senses she's keeping a secret, and second, she doesn't smell like human prey. Yet a stronger instinct propels him to give Meg the job. And when he learns the truth about Meg and that she's wanted by the government, he'll have to decide whether she's worth the fight between humans and the Others that will surely follow.

- zumindest die Haupttrilogie Daughter of the Blood, Heir to the
Shadows und Queen of the Darkness; die sind der Hammer). Jetzt bin
Sicher gut! Und das
Buch ist schön dick ...

Wunderschön illustrierte Ausgabe von Puffin Chalk.

[U4-Texte]
Looking for Alaska: "If people were rain, I was drizzle and she was a hurricane."
Miles Halter's whole life has been one big non-event, until he meets Alaska Young.
Gorgeous, clever and undoubtedly screwed up, Alaska draws Miles into her reckless world and irrevocably steals his heart. For Miles, nothing can ever be the same again.
Looking for Alaska is the award-winning debut that brilliantly captures the exquisite painful joy of living and loving. Poignant, funny and heartbreaking, this novel will stay with you forever.

An Abundance of Katherines: 19 Katherines and counting ...
When it comes to relationships, Colin Singleton's type is girls named Katherine. And when it comes to girls named Katherine, Colin is always getting dumped. Nineteen times, to be exact.
On a road trip miles from hime, this anagram-happy, washed-up child prodigy has ten thousand dollars in his pocked, a blood-thirsty feral hog on his trail, and an overweight Judge Judy-loving best friend riding shotgun - but no Katherines. Colin is on a mission to prove The Theorem of Underlying Katherine Predictability, which he hoples will predict the future of any relationship, avenge Dumpees everywhere, and finally win him the girl.

Paper Towns: Who is the real Margo?
Quentin Jacobsen has spent a lifetime loving the magnificent, adventurous Margo Roth Spiegelman from afar. So when she opens his bedroom window late one night and summons him to join her on an ingenious campaign of revenge - he follows.
After their all-nighter ends and a new day breaks, Q arrives at school to find that Margo has not. Always an enigma, she now becomes a mystery and Q soon learns that there are clues to be followed in his search for Margo.

Will Grayson, Will Grayson: One cold night, in a most unlikely corner of Chicago, two strangers cross paths. Two teens with the same name, running in two very different circles, suddenly find their lives going in new and unexpected directions, culminating in heroic turns-of-heart and the most epic musical ever to grace the high-school stage.

The Fault in Our Stars: Despite the tumor-shrinking medical miracle that has bought her a few years, Hazel has never been anything but terminal, her final chapter inscribed upon diagnosis. But when a gorgeous polt twist named Augustus Waters suddenly appears at Cancer Kid Support Group, Hazel's story is about to be completely rewritten.
Insightful, bold, irreverent, and raw, The Fault in Our Stars is award-winning author John Green's most ambitious and heartbreaking work yet, brilliantly exploring the funny, thrilling, and tragic business of being alive and in love.

Ich konnte nicht widerstehen und musste zuschlagen. Zumindest
weiß ich jetzt, was ich diesen Sommer lesen werde!

Kommentare:

Aww, "The Wizard of Oz" ist immer wieder schön anzusehen. Bin gespannt, was du dazu sagen wirst!

    Liebe Grüße,
    Bramble
